On July 5th we were delighted to host a talk at the Book
Gallery by landscape designer Alrie Middlebrook, author
of Designing California Native Gardens (University of
California Press, 2007).
Alrie's talk, covering gardening to prevent global warming
and native gardening in the Mt. Shasta region, was
accompanied by a showing of her landscape drawings at
the Book Gallery. She also signed copies of her book.

August's artist reception for Geri Acosta was a great success.
Geri is the Redding-based painter whose landscapes reflect
her brilliant colorist approach. Her paintings of the McCloud
area continue to be available through the Book Gallery.
