The McCloud Book Gallery specializes in
writing, photography and art of the Mt.
Shasta/Siskiyou/Klamath region. In addition to
collectible books in various fields, we carry
classic works about the Shasta area on an
ongoing basis. These include:

Pine Across the Mountain, by Robert Hanft. The story of the McCloud
River Railway and the timber industry of the McCloud region.

The Siskiyou Trail, by Richard H. Dillon. The story of the Hudson's' Bay
Company route to California and the trappers, mountain men and settlers
who followed the trail.

Rails in the Shadow of Mt. Shasta, by John Signor. The story of the
Southern Pacific route in the Shasta region.

Dear Mad'm, by Stella Walthall Patterson. An 80-year-old with "young
legs" takes up residence alone in a cabin on the Klamath River, where she
has numerous adventures! This is her story of a year in this beautiful,
isolated spot.
